On January 21, 2026, during my Wizz Air flight (flight number W95771) from London Gatwick to Istanbul departing at 1:50 PM, I was charged £64 on my credit card for my carry-on bag under ticket PNR mkrmwp. However, on my outbound flight from Istanbul to London on January 17, 2026, I traveled with the exact same carry-on bag and was not charged any additional fee.
During the process at Gatwick, I specifically informed the staff that my cabin baggage allowance was sufficient and that I did not want to purchase any additional baggage. Despite this, I was treated rudely and charged £64 without any clear explanation. I also observed other passengers with similar-sized carry-on bags passing through without paying any extra fees. When I asked the staff about this, they claimed that those passengers were U.K. citizens.
I do not understand why I was charged for the same carry-on bag on my return flight when no fee was applied on my outbound flight. I believe this inconsistency is unfair, and I have suffered both financially and emotionally as a result. I request a refund of the £64 that I believe was wrongfully charged to my credit card.
