Someone Opened a Wise Account Using My ID and Selfie Without My Consent

A Wise account has been opened using my ID and selfie—and I had absolutely no involvement in this. I never gave consent, never verified any email or phone number, and yet someone managed to create an account in my name.

I don’t understand how Wise’s system allows this to happen without proper verification directly from the person involved. This is a serious breach of privacy and security, and I’m extremely concerned about how my personal data was used without authorization.

I urgently demand that the account be closed immediately and that Wise provide written confirmation of the closure. I also request an investigation into how this happened and what steps will be taken to ensure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
