WhatsApp Parental Control QR Code Not Generated
I am writing regarding a serious problem I encountered with WhatsApp while trying to enroll in the parental control feature. During the enrollment process, the app is supposed to generate a QR code, but no QR code is generated, and the process remains stuck on the same screen with no option to move forward. I mistakenly started the parental control enrollment on my own device instead of my child’s device. During this process I provided my year of birth, so I would have expected Meta to detect that I am an adult and either stop or warn me before continuing. The fact that the system still allowed the enrollment to proceed in this way makes the experience even more confusing and user‑unfriendly. Because the QR code never appears and the enrollment cannot be completed, I am also unable to cancel the process. As a result, I have completely lost access to my WhatsApp account and have been unable to use it for 4 days. This has created a significant disruption for me, as I rely on WhatsApp for my daily communication. I request that you immediately resolve this issue by either allowing me to complete the parental control enrollment properly or cancel it entirely so that I can regain access to my account. In addition, I ask that you fix this bug and improve the feature so that if an adult starts the enrollment on their own device, the system recognizes this (based on date of birth or similar checks) and prevents or clearly warns about this situation, so that other users do not experience the same problem in the future.
