I had a WhatsApp account registered to a phone number whose SIM card I unfortunately lost last year. The SIM card and line were not in my name; someone else had given it to me to use, so I am no longer able to access or recover that number or receive any SMS or calls on it. Because I no longer have the SIM, I cannot complete the verification process or log back into my WhatsApp account linked to that number.
