Vivint Home Security System Hit Me With 1k Cancelation Charge
three months ago I decided to go with Vivint for my home security system. the salesperson totally promised I could cancel anytime, no problem, which of course was a huge selling point for me in case my needs changed, now I want to cancel. suddenly there's this giant cancellation fee they're hitting me with! We're talking almost $1,000! I wasn't expecting this, signed this five-year contract, but they said cancelling wouldn't be a problem, I wouldn’t commit for so long really, even paid for all the equipment upfront – cameras, doorbell thing, smoke detector, the whole shebang. So why am I getting charged extra just to cancel? It makes no sense!
