If Viber notifications are not working properly,
Check notification settings first;
• Go to:
– Phone Settings → Notifications → Viber
• Make sure:
– Notifications are ON
– Sound & pop-ups enabled
• Also check inside Viber:
– Settings → Notifications
Disable battery restrictions;
• Turn OFF:
– Battery saver
– App optimization for Viber
• Important:
– These can block notifications in background
Allow background activity;
• Ensure:
– Background data is ON
– Data saver is OFF
• Otherwise:
– Messages won’t trigger alerts
Check Do Not Disturb mode;
• If enabled:
– Notifications may be silenced
• Turn it OFF or:
– Allow Viber as exception
Update the app;
• Go to App Store / Google Play
• Install latest version
• Bugs in old versions can break notifications
Refresh the app;
• Force stop Viber → reopen
• Restart your phone
• This fixes temporary glitches
Check connection stability;
• Weak internet can delay notifications
• Try switching Wi-Fi ↔ mobile data
Reinstall if needed (last step);
• Backup chats first
• Delete → reinstall → log in
