Viagogo Charged More Than Displayed Price and Refused Ticket Refund
I bought two tickets through Viagogo for a concert in Barranquilla, Colombia, scheduled for 8 August 2026. On the purchase screen, the total price shown for the two tickets was 405,148 (local currency), and based on that amount I confirmed the order. However, when the payment was processed, 1,227,202 was actually charged to my card. This is a difference of 822,054 above the amount clearly displayed at the time of purchase. When I contacted Viagogo customer service, they told me that the charge of 1,227,202 was “correct” because, according to them, it includes fees to cover operating costs and taxes for an international purchase. These extra costs were never clearly shown as the final total before payment, and at no time did I see or accept an amount of 1,227,202 on the screen. I also requested the cancellation of the purchase because of this overcharge, but they refused to cancel and only insist that the amount is correct. I have attached both the payment proof and the chat with customer service, where it can be seen that I am disputing the charge and that the final amount shown during purchase was 405,148, not 1,227,202. I request that Viagogo immediately correct this situation by cancelling the purchase and refunding the full amount of 1,227,202 that was charged to my card, not just the difference, since that total was never clearly shown or accepted during the purchase process. I expect a clear explanation and a solution that respects the amount that was originally shown on the website at the time of purchase.
