Viagogo Canceled My $476 Ticket Sale After Approval and Never Sent the Payment

I listed my ticket on Viagogo for the Fenerbahçe – Galatasaray match held at Chobani Stadium, located in the Fenerium Upper G block. On November 18, I received a notification that the ticket had been sold. I then uploaded the ticket to the system, and the buyer approved it.

A few days before the match, I realized I could actually attend and asked through live chat whether the sale could be canceled. I was told that the sale could not be canceled in order to avoid inconveniencing the buyer and that the ticket would remain with them. I accepted this and decided not to go to the match.

On the day of the match, I contacted live support again and was informed that the ticket had been approved, was now under Viagogo’s seller process, and that payment would be issued. However, when I asked on December 4 about the payment date, I learned that the sale had been canceled. The event took place on December 1, yet the sale was shown as canceled on December 4—and I received no prior notification about this change.

I refrained from attending the match so the buyer would not be affected, yet I was the one who ended up being harmed. My $476 payment was never transferred to my account, and the sale now appears canceled. Being told repeatedly in live chat that “your payment will be issued,” only to later learn that the sale was canceled, is both unfair and deeply damaging to trust.

I request that Viagogo deposit my $476 sale amount into my account as soon as possible and provide a clear, written explanation of when, why, and how the sale was canceled.
