First, make sure that your Venmo app is updated and your phone’s operating system is current.
Check if you've received any messages or notifications from Venmo—blocks often happen due to unusual activity, account limits, or verification issues.
Try removing and re-adding your payment method, or ask your friend to do the same, as outdated or restricted accounts can sometimes trigger blocks.
Go to “Settings” > “Identity Verification” and make sure your identity is fully verified to restore full access to features like sending money.
