I Faced a Broken Zipper and Torn Fabric on My Under Armour Jacket After Just One Year
About a year ago, I purchased a jacket from Under Armour, expecting the quality to match the brand's reputation. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the zipper to start malfunctioning—it would get stuck frequently and became harder to use each time. During my most recent use, the zipper jammed completely. When I attempted to remove the jacket, the fabric tore significantly around the zipper area.
I sent the jacket in for inspection, fully expecting a repair or replacement, as it was clearly a manufacturing defect. However, I was shocked when it was returned to me with a response stating the damage was due to “user error.” That is simply not true. The root cause was the poor-quality zipper, which directly led to the fabric ripping. I handled the product with care, and it’s deeply frustrating to have my concern dismissed so easily.
This experience has damaged my trust in the Under Armour brand. I urge the company to take my complaint seriously and resolve the issue—either by repairing the jacket or providing a refund or replacement. I should not have to pay the price for a product that was defective from the start.
