Uber Driver Tells Me to Pay Cash, Then Still Charges My Card

On June 27, 2026, between 9:47 PM and 10:24 PM, during my Uber Taksi ride on the Sultangazi–Beyoğlu route, I had selected automatic credit card charge as my payment method. During the ride, my friend who was with me asked the driver whether it was possible to pay in cash instead of by card. The driver, named Ö***, clearly stated that if we paid in cash, no charge would be taken from my card.
Trusting this statement, I paid the driver $19 in cash at the end of the ride. However, when I checked afterward, I saw that the same amount had also been charged to my credit card. In other words, as would be clearly shown if the camera footage were reviewed, I both paid $19 in cash and had another $19 charged to my card.
This situation has caused me both financial hardship and a loss of trust. I am requesting that the extra $19 charged to me be refunded to my credit card account as soon as possible.
