Uber Eats Refused Refund For Undelivered Order
On 29 August 2026 I placed a water order via Uber Eats from Sırmakeş Su to my home address. The total amount of this order was ₺1,660. Although the courier marked the order as “Delivered” in the application, the order was never delivered to me. I immediately contacted Uber Eats customer service multiple times and clearly stated that I did not receive the order. The agents I spoke with also acknowledged that the order did not arrive. I even told them that if they did not want to refund me, they could at least ask the seller to send the order, but they replied that they do not have such an option. Despite this, my refund request was rejected with reference to my past account history and previous cancellations, although most of my past cancelled orders were due to the seller’s own mistakes such as missing items. In the app, this specific order now appears with the note that the refund was refused. I find it unacceptable and contrary to basic consumer rights to be charged ₺1,660 for a service and products that were never delivered. Legally, I cannot be charged for an undelivered order and for something I have not received. I request that this issue be urgently reviewed, escalated to a supervisor and that the full amount of ₺1,660 for this order be refunded to my original payment method as soon as possible.
