Turna.com Ignores One-Letter Name Correction Despite Airways Approval
I purchased a round-trip flight ticket via Turna.com for the route Tashkent–Hangzhou on 19.04.2026 and Hangzhou–Tashkent on 27.04.2026, with Uzbekistan Airways, under PNR 7I5RI7. The ticket was issued in the name “B*** A***” while my correct surname as shown in my passport is “B***” This is a simple one-letter typographical error in the surname, not a name change. Immediately after booking on 22 March 2026, as soon as I noticed the typo, I contacted both Uzbekistan Airways and Turna.com through live chat on the Turna.com website and via e‑mail. Uzbekistan Airways clearly confirmed in writing that a correction of up to three letters in the surname or first name is allowed. They also described the exact procedure for a “Correct Name” operation (new PNR) and explicitly asked Turna.com, as the issuing agent, to consider my request and assist me. I forwarded this confirmation and all their instructions to Turna.com. Despite this, Turna.com has failed to handle the request properly. On 30 March 2026, after I had already sent a full, detailed request with all required documents (PNR, passport copy, ticket screenshots and previous correspondence), a Turna.com support representative, Niran N., replied with a generic message asking me once again to send the same information to [email protected], completely ignoring the fact that I had already provided everything. After that, there has been complete silence. I have sent multiple follow-up messages but have received no further response, no update on the status of my request, no confirmation that the case has been submitted to the airline, and no indication of any timeline. This is a minor typographical correction that Uzbekistan Airways has explicitly confirmed as permissible, and they have pointed out that Turna.com, as the issuing agency, needs to process it. Turna.com’s lack of action and communication creates unnecessary stress and may cause serious problems for me at check‑in or boarding, even though the issue can be resolved easily. I have already spent significant time and effort trying to fix this simple error. I request that Turna.com immediately process the minor name correction in line with Uzbekistan Airways’ written confirmation and the airline’s procedures. I also ask for written confirmation once the correction has been completed, including the updated ticket or the new PNR, and to be clearly notified in advance if any additional payment is required for this process.
