Today I was contacted through TikTok by a user with the name “jojo37623.” This person claimed to be working on a project and asked to use my picture. They then requested my banking information and offered to pay me 300 USD in return. They had also provided the phone number 221 192 54** and initially reached out from there as well. Before realizing that this was very likely a scam attempt, I shared my photo and my email address with this person. I did not share any banking information, but the situation made me feel unsafe and worried that my data might be misused. I request that TikTok urgently investigate and remove or ban the account “jojo376**” and take necessary action against this type of scam attempt, as well as warn other users about similar fraudulent offers. I also request that the phone company investigate the number 221 192 54**, take the necessary measures if it is being used for fraud, and help prevent similar incidents in the future.
