Tight Tonic 30-Day Return Guarantee Disputed After Package Was Opened
Because the phrase “30-day return guarantee” is displayed very prominently on Tight Tonic’s Instagram account, I relied on this statement and purchased a pair of leggings through Instagram on September 10, 2026. My order number is 43366. Although the company promised same-day shipping, my order was not shipped until September 15, 2026.
After the product arrived, I opened the package to try on the leggings and subsequently requested a return. However, the company told me through its WhatsApp support line that the return could not be accepted because I had opened the package. It is practically impossible to determine the size, fit, fabric, or whether a pair of leggings meets your expectations without opening the package and inspecting or trying the product. Making the return conditional on keeping the package unopened therefore seems unreasonable.
The “30-day return guarantee” prominently advertised on Instagram as a strong selling point is effectively made unusable by imposing a condition that does not realistically allow consumers to evaluate the product. The approach of refusing returns for products whose packaging has been opened leaves the promised guarantee as nothing more than a statement on paper and creates a misleading impression of consumer protection.
Even though I directly asked the company representatives, “For what reason would a consumer return a pair of leggings without opening the package?”, I never received any response addressing this contradiction. At this point, I am not seeking a return or any other resolution from the company. I am sharing this complaint so that other consumers considering purchasing from Tight Tonic can understand what the “30-day return guarantee” actually means in practice and make an informed decision. Anyone considering purchasing leggings from this company should keep in mind that, according to my experience, opening the package may effectively eliminate the possibility of returning the product.
