My The North Face Verto Gore-TEX Shoes Are Splitting and the Brand Won’t Help

I received a pair of The North Face Men's Verto Gore-TEX® Alpine shoes as a gift, expecting top-tier quality from a brand that promotes itself as a leader in outdoor performance. Unfortunately, the shoes have already started splitting and coming apart, even though they haven’t been exposed to extreme use.
It’s very clear from the photos that this is not a wear-and-tear issue caused by the user—both shoes show signs of a manufacturing defect, not accidental damage. Still, when I reached out for help, The North Face refused to take any responsibility or offer a solution.
I’m extremely disappointed by how this situation has been handled. When a premium brand sells high-performance footwear, it should also stand behind its craftsmanship. I urge The North Face to re-evaluate this case, inspect the product properly, and resolve the issue—whether through repair, replacement, or refund. Ignoring product faults is no way to treat loyal customers.
