Telegram Account Recovery Without Access to Old Phone Number

I am writing because I can no longer access my Telegram account on my iPhone 12 Pro. My account is linked to an old phone number to which I have completely lost access, so I am unable to receive the login codes that are sent via SMS or call. In the login screen Telegram shows that the code is being sent to the number +1 618‑605‑2***, but I no longer own or use this number. I lost access to this phone number about six months ago, but I was still able to use my Telegram account and had an active chat with it as recently as two days ago. After being logged out, I have been unable to sign back in because all verification codes are directed to the old number that I cannot recover. I kindly request your assistance to help me regain access to my Telegram account. Since I cannot receive any codes on the old number, I am asking you to help me verify my identity through alternative methods and allow me to log in again or update the phone number on my account to a current one that I can use.
