Steam Card Payment Without My Permission
On August 15, 2026, at around 8:58 PM, a $100 USD transaction was made on my VakıfBank credit card ending in 2016, and it appears in my statement with the description “WL Steam Purchase.” I did not make this purchase, I did not use Steam at that time, and I did not authorize any subscription, membership, or other payment of this amount. I noticed this transaction on my bank statement on August 15, 2026, and immediately realized it was not mine. I have the bank statement and screenshots clearly showing the “WL Steam Purchase” transaction and I can share all of these as supporting documents. I request that VakıfBank urgently investigate this unauthorized $100 transaction, determine how and through which merchant or platform it was processed, and provide me with detailed information such as the transaction date and time, merchant records, and any related transaction ID. If it is determined that this payment is unauthorized, I request that the transaction be cancelled and that the $100 be refunded to my card, and that any procedures required for chargeback or dispute be initiated as soon as possible. I also request a clear written explanation of the steps to be followed regarding this disputed transaction, and information about any provisional credit, card blocking or card reissuance procedures that may be necessary to protect my card information. I would like to clearly state that I did not make this transaction, I did not share my card information knowingly with any party for this payment, and I did not provide any approval or authorization. I kindly request that an urgent investigation be initiated regarding this unauthorized transaction and that I receive a written response about the outcome, and I am ready to provide my bank records, screenshots and other supporting documents if needed.
