I bought Skechers model 216480-BBK shoes in July 2023, needing new footwear. Being a loyal customer of one of the world's top two brands starting with the letter "n," based on recommendations and advertisements, I made the mistake of choosing this brand. The issues with the shoes are:
Excessive plastic creaking noises especially on marble floors.
Poor support causing discomfort and potential ankle twists.
High cost for low-quality materials; the left shoe tore at the front.
Despite careful use (only worn for a day, stored in box with shoe tree), it deteriorated within 4-5 months of sporadic wear, contrary to brand claims of durability.
Customer service was dismissive, suggesting contact with the retailer, Metro Market, where I bought them. They deemed normal wear after a year, despite minimal use.
In comparison, shoes from another major brand purchased in 2019 have held up better, despite similar pricing. This marks my second major disappointment after another brand starting with "h," in which I had placed trust based on ads and user reviews. I won't be trying a third brand. I had believed Skechers to be a quality outdoor brand akin to a brand starting with "c," but I was mistaken.
