Unauthorized ShortMax Innovations Charge Appears on Bank Statement

On March 14, 2026, at 6:02 PM, I noticed an unauthorized charge on my ING bank card described as “shortmax innovations Corona-US” in the amount of $19.99 (€17.49). On my transaction receipt, it appears as “Betaling Debit Mastercard 14/03-18:02-shortmax innovations Corona-US 19.99 USD,” with transaction number 9885974922. I did not sign up for any membership, free trial, in-app purchase, or similar service with this company, and I have not shared my card details with anyone.

I immediately canceled any possible subscription associated with this company. However, since I did not authorize this payment, I request a full refund of the $19.99 charged to my account. I also request that necessary security measures be taken to prevent any future charges of a similar nature—especially international or digital subscription-based transactions—on my card.

I ask that this unauthorized transaction be investigated, that the improperly charged amount be refunded to me as soon as possible, and that I be informed about the security measures taken regarding my card.
