Unauthorized Shortmax Charges Hit Capital One Card Multiple Times

I am filing a complaint about Shortmax Innovations due to multiple unauthorized charges made to my Capital One credit card after I had already canceled their service. I signed up expecting a one-time charge of $15.99, but instead I have been billed repeatedly without my consent. On my Capital One credit card, Shortmax Innovations has charged me $19.99 on the following dates: 02/18/2026, 02/24/2026, 02/25/2026, 03/03/2026, 03/10/2026, and 03/17/2026. In total, there are 7 unauthorized charges of $19.99 each. I canceled Shortmax after the first week of use and did not authorize any recurring or subscription payments beyond the initial one-time fee I was expecting. Despite canceling, these charges continued to be taken from my card, which I consider completely unauthorized and misleading. I request that Shortmax Innovations immediately refund all unauthorized charges of $19.99 that have been taken from my card and ensure that no further charges are made to my Capital One credit card. I also expect a clear written explanation of how these charges were initiated after my cancellation and confirmation that my account with Shortmax Innovations is fully closed and inactive.
