Shortmax Promises Easy Cancellation but Offers No Way to Cancel
I started a weekly membership in the Shortmax app on Android through a special discounted offer. During the signup process, it was clearly stated that I could cancel the membership at any time. However, when I tried to cancel, I could not find any cancellation option in either the app or on the website. In the “About” section, it says the subscription can be canceled through the Play Store, but no such option exists there either.
Since my membership started on September 14, my debit card has been charged three times, for a total of approximately $47. I contacted customer service via Gmail to request cancellation of my membership and a refund of the charges. I was told I would receive a response within 3 to 7 days, but 15 days have passed and I have still received no reply.
My membership number is 148284836. I request that my membership be canceled immediately and that the full amount of approximately $47 USD be refunded to me. Otherwise, I will be forced to pursue legal action.
