Ryanair Canceled Our Flight After Boarding, Then Left Us to Fend for Ourselves
I am requesting that the hardship we experienced due to a flight cancellation and severe delay with Ryanair on 06/28/2026 be resolved. My spouse, A****** T****, and I had purchased tickets for our Münster–Mallorca flight under reservation number C6S6RK. Our flight's departure time was originally scheduled for 10:50 PM, then delayed to 11:35 PM, and after we had already boarded, it was completely canceled.
After the cancellation, we were told we would be assisted with a hotel and taxi, but no concrete support was ever provided, and we had to resolve the entire situation on our own. Since we couldn't find a place to stay overnight, we took a taxi to Osnabrück around 5:00 AM toward dawn, then returned to Bremerhaven via Deutsche Bahn. During this process, we spent €60 on Uber fare and €18.90 on groceries.
On the afternoon of 06/29/2026, we set out again toward Münster for the replacement flight. While on the way, we received an SMS stating that the flight had been delayed from 11:15 PM to 12:45 AM. After check-in, we were told the flight would proceed, but shortly after, the time was delayed again to 2:15 AM. In the end, we were only able to fly to Mallorca around 2:30 AM on 06/30/2026. Due to this delay, we were unable to use the first night's stay at our hotel in Mallorca, and the €115 we had paid for that night went to waste.
Because of this cancellation and the lengthy delays, we experienced serious time loss, disruption to our comfort and plans, and were also forced to bear extra costs. We had also previously contacted Ryanair to report the situation and share our request.
For this reason, I am requesting a full reimbursement of the passenger rights compensation owed to us under EU Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004, along with the €60 Uber expense, the €18.90 grocery expense, and the €115 hotel fee for the unused night's stay. All relevant receipts and documents, as well as flight and hotel reservation records, can be provided upon request.
I kindly ask that my complaint be reviewed, that I receive a written response, and that the hardship we experienced be resolved as soon as possible.
My Ryanair flight was cancelled and I experienced long delays. I incurred expenses for a hotel, taxi, and groceries, and my hotel reservation went to waste. I submitted my complaint but received no response, and I believe my compensation claim has still not been processed.
