Ryanair Charged Us €220 to Check In, Then Denied Us Boarding Anyway

For our Ryanair flight FR8391, which we had planned to take from Tirana Airport to Pisa Airport on 04/27/2026, my family and I arrived at the airport on time and ready to fly, but we ended up facing serious hardship due to what we experienced. Since we couldn't complete online check-in, we tried to handle it at the airport following the directions given, but we were repeatedly sent to different points and received no clear, solution-oriented support.
Throughout this process, even though we repeatedly stated that check-in hadn't been completed, the problem was never resolved, and because of this uncertainty, we missed the time we were supposed to be at the gate. Even though all these disruptions stemmed from the airline's own guidance and organization, we were charged an additional €220 check-in fee, and despite this, we were not allowed to board.
There were other passengers experiencing the same issue; we saw that those with later flight times were able to complete their process. Since we had a connecting travel plan, this disruption ruined our entire itinerary — we couldn't carry out the program we had prepared as a family, and we had to spend 7 hours at the airport looking for a solution. In the end, we had to purchase new tickets for €696, plus an additional €16 baggage fee, and on top of the serious financial loss, we also lost valuable time.
Even though it's clear that these problems were not caused by us as passengers, I don't accept that our hardship remains unresolved. I am requesting a refund of the €220 check-in fee that was unjustly charged, coverage of the €696 new ticket cost and the €16 additional baggage expense, and appropriate compensation for the financial and emotional hardship we experienced.
