Remitly Delayed “Instant Transfer” and Misled Me
I sent a transfer of approximately $75 (2,413 TL) to my own Garanti BBVA account in Turkey via Remitly and paid £41.12 for the transaction fee. While making the transfer, I specifically selected the “instant transfer” option. However, even after about a day, the money has still not reached my account, and I continue to be kept waiting.
Despite choosing the instant transfer option as advertised in the app, this delay has caused me serious inconvenience. Even though I paid both the transfer amount and the fee, I was unable to access my money on time, and I feel misled by the app’s “instant transfer” promise. When I contacted customer service, I was only told to wait and was not provided with any concrete solution.
I request that my transfer be completed immediately and that the full amount be credited to my Garanti BBVA account without delay. I also ask that my complaint be reviewed and that appropriate compensation or a refund be provided due to the failure to deliver the promised “instant transfer” service. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Remitly to others.
