In May, I purchased a pair of Reebok athletic shoes from the FLO Mersin Merkez store for approximately $42. Even though I have worn the shoes no more than 10 times, the soles absorb water like a sponge whenever I step on a wet surface. So much water collects inside the shoes that they make a noticeable squishing sound while I walk. Even when the restroom floor is only slightly wet, the soles absorb an excessive amount of water, clearly showing that the shoes do not provide the quality or normal performance expected from this type of product. The amount was converted using the latest available rate of approximately 47.58 Turkish lira per U.S. dollar and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

I took the shoes to the FLO Mersin Merkez store and explained the problem. The store employees photographed the shoes and submitted them for inspection. However, despite this obvious issue—which I believe is a manufacturing defect—I was informed that my claim had been denied. I do not find it acceptable for a name-brand pair of shoes to absorb this much water after such limited use.

Because I believe the product has a clear manufacturing defect, I request that my Reebok shoes be replaced with a new pair. I also ask that the product be inspected again, this time more carefully and thoroughly, and that my complaint be resolved fairly.
