I purchased a Ray-Ban branded pair of sunglasses in 2020 from the Atasun Optik store in Metrocity Shopping Mall. For approximately the past four months, I have been unable to use the product properly due to peeling and flaking on the frame. The particles coming off the frame scratch the lenses during cleaning, which significantly reduces both the usability and the performance of the sunglasses. Two days after my initial purchase, the screw on the right side of the frame came loose, so I took the product to the Atasun Optik store in Cevahir Shopping Mall. There, the sunglasses were replaced with a completely new pair. Despite this replacement, I am now facing the problems of peeling, flaking and lens scratching, which leads me to believe that the product has a serious quality defect. These issues also raise concerns for me about the authenticity of the product. On April 28, 2026, I visited the Atasun Optik store in Forum Istanbul Shopping Mall to explain the situation and to seek support. However, the staff told me that there was nothing they could do and did not offer any assistance. This attitude has damaged my trust in both the Ray-Ban brand and Atasun Optik. Due to all these reasons, I consider that this defect is not caused by user error but is related to manufacturing, material quality or the authenticity of the product. I kindly request that Ray-Ban and Atasun Optik either replace my sunglasses with a new pair or, at the very least, replace the frame free of charge. If needed, I can provide the warranty and invoice information so that my complaint can be evaluated and my grievance resolved.
