QuillBot Renewed My Subscription Without Consent and Increased the Price

Thinking it was a good offer, I signed up for QuillBot on a subsidized plan. Later on, I chose to cancel in order to prevent unanticipated fees, but I was surprised to discover my subscription would renew on its own without my express permission. To exacerbate the situation, the renewal cost had skyrocketed, much over what I had paid first. This seems false and dishonest. When I contacted customer support to ask for a refund for the unused half, I was faced with strict rules declaring that none would be given. I asked several times for a detailed explanation, but all I got were platitudes devoid of any actual solutions. The way QuillBot treats customer service and pricing has left me somewhat underwhelmed.
