Pinterest Removed My Pin Without Showing What Rule It Broke or Letting Me Respond
I’ve had a Pinterest account for nearly 15 years—one I’ve built with care and used actively over the years. Recently, I received an email from the Pinterest team saying a pin saved to my “Bridal Style” board was removed for allegedly violating community guidelines. However, I wasn’t shown what the pin was or how it violated the rules. There’s no transparency, and without that, how can users understand or fix the issue?
Worse, the email warned that further action might be taken against my account. After investing so much time and effort into my boards, this feels extremely unfair. If Pinterest truly wanted to handle this respectfully, they could have simply shown me the pin or asked me to remove it.
Meanwhile, it’s no secret that there are accounts openly displaying explicit content that seemingly don’t violate Pinterest’s guidelines—but a bridal-themed pin supposedly does? I’d like to know what exactly was so problematic.
