PDFSmart Forced Me Into Monthly Subscription, Refusing Refund

I subscribed to Pdfsmart on 21/02/2024 for what I understood to be a 7‑day service, without realising that they would turn this into an ongoing monthly subscription. I was never clearly informed that a recurring payment would start after the trial, and I did not receive any warning emails before they began charging me. Without my clear consent and without any prior notification, Pdfsmart charged my account 29.90 GBP every month. I only discovered this on 20/09/2026, by which time they had taken a total of 31 payments of 29.90 GBP, amounting to 926.90 GBP. During this entire period I did not use the service, did not log in, and had no reason to believe that a subscription was active. After noticing the charges, I immediately cancelled this subscription and instructed my bank to stop any further payments to Pdfsmart. I then contacted Pdfsmart and requested a refund, but they refused, which I find completely unacceptable given that I neither knowingly agreed to a long‑term subscription nor used the service. I request that Pdfsmart refund the full amount of 926.90 GBP that was taken from my account through these unwanted renewals, and that they confirm in writing that no further payments will ever be taken from my account.
