PDFSmart Charged Without Clear Consent After One-Week Trial

On 05 December 2025, I was charged £49.99 by PDFSmart even though I only intended to pay for a one-week trial. I did not knowingly subscribe to any automatic renewal, and I was not clearly informed that a recurring subscription would be started after the trial. The charge of £49.99 was taken using the debit card details I provided only for the first one-week trial payment, and this card was later used without my explicit consent for an automatic subscription. After noticing this unexpected charge, I contacted PDFSmart customer support, asked them to cancel the subscription and requested a refund. They confirmed the subscription is cancelled but refused to refund the £49.99. I am asking for a full refund of the £49.99 that was charged, since I did not agree to an auto-renewal, and written confirmation that no further payments will be taken from my debit card in the future.
