OPPO Find N5 Warranty Repair Denied as User Error

I began experiencing all of the problems described with my OPPO Find N5 Flip, which I purchased as a display model from the MediaMarkt Marmara Forum store, approximately three months after purchasing the device. On August 20, I sent the phone to an authorized OPPO Türkiye service center via Yurtiçi Kargo, and I have been without my phone ever since. The Yurtiçi Kargo tracking number for the shipment was 20260820_143814.

Approximately one day before the legal service period was set to expire, I was contacted by Omix Mobil from 0850 474 66 49 and informed that the damage was being classified as user error and that I would have to pay approximately $1,328 for the repair. During this process, I repeatedly contacted OPPO Türkiye and was told that multiple emails had been sent to Omix Mobil, but I never received any solution-oriented response or written explanation. Despite this, I was clearly informed that the repair would only be performed for a fee.

This is not my first foldable phone. I have been using Samsung Z Fold series phones for approximately four years, and I have never experienced an inner-screen crack, spotting, or similar problem. My OPPO Find N5 Flip, however, became extremely hot even when it was not connected to a charger. The outer screen then stopped working completely, and when I opened the phone normally, the inner screen only flickered without displaying an image. Before these failures occurred, I had already noticed yellow spots on the screen, fluctuations in brightness, and abnormal overheating.

Despite all of these symptoms, the service center's only explanation is that the “inner screen is broken” and that this is “user error.” However, there are no cracks, scratches, dents, impact marks, or pressure marks on the front glass. If the service center claims that the inner screen of a three-month-old device with no physical damage to the front glass or body was broken by the user, I request that this conclusion be technically explained in detail and supported with photographs showing the alleged damage.

I request that my case be escalated for a thorough, impartial technical inspection and that the excessive overheating, yellow spots, brightness fluctuations, and screen failures be evaluated together rather than separately. Ultimately, I request that my device be repaired or replaced under warranty. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will share the entire process, service records, and the $1,328 repair demand through social media and the appropriate legal complaint channels, together with all supporting documentation.
