On January 26, 2026, I purchased a flight ticket through Opodo. During the transaction, I was told that I received an €18 discount, but I did not create any membership, nor did I approve any subscription or renewal. Despite this, on February 10, 2026, €120 was charged to my debit card without my knowledge or consent.
My reservation number for this transaction is 24528087638. When I noticed the charge, I contacted Opodo by phone. They told me that this amount was charged as a “membership renewal fee.” I clearly stated that I did not accept or approve any such membership and requested a full refund of the €120. However, they said they could only refund €60. I rejected this and insisted on a full refund.
After I continued to object, they offered a €45 discount voucher for my next flight instead. To avoid losing all my money, I reluctantly accepted the voucher, but I still want it canceled and a full refund of the €120 charged to my debit card. I also contacted them via email, but I have not received any response.
Opodo’s practice of enrolling users into memberships without clear consent and charging them indirectly is unfair and causes serious inconvenience. I request a full refund of the €120 that was wrongfully charged to my card.
