I Can’t Create a New OkCupid Account – No Verification Code Sent to My Phone

I deleted my old OkCupid account and tried to create a new one, but I’m stuck at the phone number verification step. I keep getting an error that says, "Couldn't save, please check your internet connection and try again." I’ve been trying for two days now, but I still can’t get past this issue.
