On November 19, 2025, my relative A** T***** was receiving treatment in the Internal Intensive Care Unit at Antalya OFM Hospital** with diagnoses of vascular blockage, kidney failure, and a blood clot in the lungs. Hospital staff attempted to move the patient from intensive care to the emergency department. Even though the patient was not fully conscious, we were told, “The patient is fine and can be transferred to the emergency department,” and they attempted to discharge the patient from intensive care. Because of this, we transferred our patient to another hospital. At Döşemealtı State Hospital, we were informed that the patient was not in a condition to be moved to the emergency department and needed to be admitted directly to intensive care.

In addition, we observed that hygiene conditions in the intensive care unit at Antalya OFM Hospital were inadequate. Protective gowns were not used, staff and visitors were able to touch patients freely, and multiple patients were placed in the same area. Based on these observations, I believe the intensive care unit was not properly sterile.

I request that patients not be treated as commercial assets and that this complaint be taken seriously and reviewed by the relevant authorities.
