MyIQ Refund Request for $29.99 Unauthorized Subscription Charge
I signed up for a seven‑day trial of an IQ test on the MyIQ website for $1. After taking the test and receiving my result, I unsubscribed within the trial period. MyIQ acknowledged that I had unsubscribed and did not have an active subscription after the trial ended. Despite this, MyIQ first attempted to charge me $29.99 on March 9th, then again on March 12th, and a couple of times afterward. I informed my bank, Chime, and made sure there were no funds available to cover any unauthorized payment attempts. However, on March 21st, MyIQ managed to push through a $29.99 charge on my Chime card ending in 3160, even though my account had been unsubscribed. Their help portal was not actually helping, and the unsubscribe portal on the MyIQ testing site did not work properly, so I had to unsubscribe via email. I also could not find a phone number on the MyIQ testing page to resolve this directly. Afterward, I read many negative reviews about MyIQ from other people who also felt scammed, tricked, or charged unfairly, and I am clearly not the first person to experience this problem. I request that MyIQ immediately refund the unauthorized $29.99 that was charged on March 21st and send me a clear written confirmation that my subscription is permanently cancelled and that no further charges will be made to my card.
The issue has been resolved, a refund has been issued, and the subscription has been canceled.
