MyIQ Hidden Subscription Fee Refund Request
I recently used the MyIQ service to obtain an IQ test result, which was clearly presented as costing $1 for access to the result. At no point was it clearly disclosed to me that I would be enrolled in a recurring subscription. Only later did I discover that in the fine print, there appears to be wording that they are using to justify an ongoing monthly charge. I took the test approximately one to two weeks before the first charge, and I now see that my credit card (issued in the United States) was first hit on March 11, 2026, with two separate charges of $0.50 each, and then on March 18, 2026, with a $29.99 charge that appears to be a recurring subscription. I did not knowingly agree to this subscription and consider these charges deceptive and unauthorized. After noticing the $29.99 charge, I submitted a cancellation through MyIQ so that no further payments would be taken. However, I am still extremely unhappy with how this was presented and with the unexpected billing. I request an immediate full refund of the $29.99 charge dated March 18, 2026, as well as confirmation that my subscription is fully canceled and that no further charges will be made to my card.
