MyIQ Charged €29.99 After Advertising €0.50 One-Time Fee
I completed an IQ test on the MyIQ website, where a one-time fee of 0.50 Euro was indicated. Based on the information on the site, I clearly understood this as a single, small payment for evaluating the test, and there was no indication that I would be entering into any kind of recurring subscription or regular monthly fee. Despite this, more amounts have been deducted from my CIB Bank Mastercard credit card. On January 5th, 0.50 Euro was taken for the test evaluation, then on February 9th, another 0.50 Euro was deducted, even though I did not start a new test. After that, on February 16th, 29.99 Euro was charged to my card without any prior clear warning or my explicit consent to a subscription. I had an IQ test on this site once before, and then again in January, but I never agreed to a subscription-type service. I consider this practice misleading, as the communication suggested a one-time fee, while in reality, a subscription seemed to be created in the background. I request the full refund of all amounts debited in connection with MyIQ, including the 0.50 Euro charges and the 29.99 Euro, and the immediate cancellation of any subscription or recurring payment associated with my card and my email address gyongyi.ugr****@gmail.com. I also request written confirmation that the subscription has been cancelled, no further amounts will be deducted from my CIB Bank Mastercard credit card, and that the refunded sums will be credited back to my card.
