MG4 iSmart Service Stopped Working Without Notice

I own an MG4 Luxury, and the iSmart connected vehicle service, which was included with the vehicle and played a significant role in my purchasing decision, has been unavailable since July 13, 2026, without any prior notice or explanation. As a result, I have completely lost access to essential features such as remote vehicle access, vehicle status monitoring, and charging management. These are not optional conveniences but core functions that electric vehicle owners rely on every day.

I understand that the problem is related to the vehicle's M2M SIM data connection, and that it affects not only my vehicle but many other MG4 owners as well. Although no separate subscription fee was charged for this service, it was advertised and delivered as an integrated feature of the vehicle. The unilateral suspension of a feature that was included as part of the vehicle's functionality has caused significant inconvenience and falls short of the expectations associated with purchasing a connected electric vehicle.

When I contacted MG customer service and authorized support channels, I received inconsistent explanations. Initially, I was told that the application had reached a usage quota. Later, I was informed that the iSmart service had not yet been fully authorized for legal operation and that development work was still ongoing. I was also told that the service would be restored for all users once the work was completed. However, I have never received a clear, transparent explanation of the actual cause of the interruption, the specific corrective actions being taken, or an estimated timeline for restoring the service.

I request that MG permanently restore the iSmart service for my MG4 Luxury, fully resolve the M2M connectivity issue, and provide an official written update that clearly explains the reason for the outage, the steps being taken to resolve it, and a realistic timeline for when all connected vehicle services will be fully operational again.
