Instagram Verification Followed by Scam Texts and Unauthorized Access Attempt

After purchasing the verified badge for my Instagram account through Meta, I started receiving suspicious links and codes today from foreign numbers such as +447537452510, supposedly on behalf of Instagram. I had never experienced anything like this before. These messages began appearing immediately after my verification was approved.

After receiving these suspicious messages, I changed my Instagram password and noticed that a phone number that did not belong to me had been added to my account. I quickly removed it. At the moment, only my own information is saved on my account, and there are no other suspicious details or unauthorized access points. My account is a personal user account.

In addition, even though I live in Ankara and my phone number is registered there, my Instagram login location appeared as “temre.” This has made me very uneasy and concerned about the security of my account.

I am requesting a thorough security check of my account, additional protection measures, and whatever actions are necessary to prevent these suspicious messages from happening again.
