New Mercedes GLC 180 Still Has Unresolved Mechanical Problem
On June 4, 2026, my brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLC 180 developed a mechanical issue and has now been at Gürsoy Otomotiv, an authorized Mercedes-Benz service center in Istanbul, for approximately two weeks. During this time, I was informed that the repair required a software update from Mercedes-Benz. The update was eventually installed, but despite these efforts, the vehicle continues to exhibit the same problem.
Although the authorized service center has performed multiple diagnostic and repair procedures, they have not been able to identify the root cause of the malfunction or provide a satisfactory explanation confirming that the issue has been permanently resolved. Despite the unresolved defect, I have been asked to accept delivery of the vehicle in its current condition. As a customer, I find it unacceptable to take back a vehicle that still has an unresolved fault and for which no assurance of long-term reliability can be provided.
Having purchased a brand-new vehicle in the premium segment, I expect a permanent and complete repair—not the return of a vehicle with an unresolved defect. I cannot accept delivery of a vehicle whose underlying problem has not been identified or fully corrected.
I request that Mercedes-Benz Türkiye and Gürsoy Otomotiv permanently resolve the fault affecting my vehicle, clearly identify and explain the root cause of the issue, and provide a reliable, long-term solution. I also request a detailed written explanation of the repair process and the actions taken to resolve my complaint so I can use my vehicle with confidence.
