Mercari Sent Me a Pokémon Card Instead of the $700 Laptop I Ordered

We paid $700 for a laptop from Mercari.com, anticipating the transaction to go smoothly. However, before the item came, Mercari automatically gave the transaction 5 stars, raising a significant red flag. We quickly reported the inaccuracy, but Mercari ignored it, even though the tracking code could have been easily checked. They then tried to deposit the money into the seller's account. To make matters worse, the seller blocked us when we asked for a settlement. A month later, instead of a laptop, we got a random Pokémon card! This event demonstrated how inadequately Mercari manages fraudulent operations. To avoid such events, I strongly advise not visiting this website.
