Life360 Crash Detection Failed During Real Accident
I have been using the Life360 app as a paid subscriber for a long time, but the app is essentially only useful for location tracking and does not deliver on its promised features. My experience with its crash detection system, in particular, has been extremely disappointing.
On April 1, 2026, at 7:27 PM, a person whose location I was monitoring was involved in a traffic accident. Although the app clearly states that it will notify users of crashes above 40 km/h, I did not receive any notification. All driving and crash detection features were enabled on both my iPhone 16 Pro Max and the other person’s iPhone 15, yet the system failed to function entirely.
It is unacceptable that an application for which I pay a monthly subscription fee of 169.99 TL fails to perform such a critical safety function. Moreover, when I tried to contact Life360 customer support regarding this issue, I could not reach anyone. Despite calling the numbers I found, no one answered, and I was unable to speak with a representative.
I request that Life360 thoroughly investigate why no notification was sent despite the accident, ensure that the crash detection system works reliably and properly, and deliver the safety features that the service promises. I do not want to keep paying for a service that does not fulfill its purpose—I expect to receive the value I am paying for.
