Apple Charger Overheated and Melted Cable — Serious Fire Hazard

On January 15, 2026, an Apple-branded power adapter purchased from the Apple Store and the original cable that came with my phone overheated severely while plugged into a wall outlet, causing the cable to melt. This incident occurred in my child’s bedroom and created a serious fire hazard, coming dangerously close to causing a fire. Because this situation involved a potential risk to life, I was extremely alarmed and deeply concerned about the safety of these products.
The products were purchased around January 2025, and experiencing such a dangerous issue within a relatively short period of time is completely unacceptable. I have not yet contacted Apple regarding this incident; however, due to the seriousness of what occurred, I am requesting that this matter be addressed urgently.
I am requesting that Apple replace both the charger and the cable, and that a detailed and satisfactory safety explanation be provided regarding why this incident occurred. I also ask that all necessary investigations be conducted to prevent a similar event from happening again, and that I be informed in writing or verbally about the outcome.
