Indeed Job Scam Used Papara App to Steal My ID and Money

April 23, 2025 8:53 PM8

On April 18, I applied for a call center job through the Indeed website. The next day, I was contacted. To complete my registration, I was instructed to download the Papara app and sign in using a referral code they provided.

Then, they had me scan my face and ID, gaining access to my personal information. They sent ₺105 to my personal Ziraat Bank account, claiming it was for the shipping cost of a tablet they would supposedly send. I was then asked to transfer that money to another account via IBAN. Nothing they promised was delivered — no training was given, and I couldn’t even access the class through the link they provided.

Therefore, I do not accept any transactions carried out in my name. I do not accept the use of my ID, my face, or any action taken in my name without my wet signature. From April 19, 2025, I declare that I am not legally responsible for any accounts, loans, subscriptions, companies, or illegal activities created in my name.
