ibisPaint crashes on startup after the latest update; how can I fix it?

If ibisPaint started crashing after the latest update, check for a newer version first. ibisPaint confirmed that version 14.1.2 caused startup crashes on some iPhones and iPads, and version 14.1.3 released on October 7, 2026 fixes the problem.

If you use iPhone or iPad, update ibisPaint from the App Store and, if necessary, update iOS/iPadOS to 26.4 or later. Do not uninstall the app unless your artwork is backed up, because ibisPaint warns that unsynced artwork can be deleted.

For Android, Windows, or other devices, restart the device, close background apps, and install the newest ibisPaint release, as previous updates have specifically fixed startup crashes on some devices.
