Huawei Watch GT 4 Screen Keeps Failing After Multiple Repairs
I purchased my Huawei Watch GT 4 41mm smartwatch through Hepsiburada on February 14, 2024. The screen has never worked consistently since the first day I used the product. During the warranty period, I experienced the same screen failure three times. The watch was replaced once and repaired twice, but the same problem returned every time.
After the warranty period expired, the exact same screen failure occurred again. When the watch was sent to the service center, the screen was dark and displayed distorted, scratched-looking images while it was turned on, and the touchscreen was completely unresponsive. It now does not turn on at all. Despite this, the authorized service center has classified the issue as user error and issued a repair charge of more than $143 under service record number IST01-OU-6693879.
I do not consider it reasonable to suddenly classify the same defect as user error after the product repeatedly failed to be properly repaired during the warranty period. If these watches can fail due to water exposure, why does the product description advertise water resistance and include a swimming mode designed for workouts? As a user, the only contact my watch had with water was incidental exposure while I was washing my hands.
I do not accept being held responsible for a recurring defect that could not be resolved during the warranty period simply because the warranty has now expired, nor do I accept being charged such a high repair fee. I request that my watch be replaced free of charge with an equivalent defect-free product or that I receive a full refund. Otherwise, I intend to pursue my legal rights before the Consumer Court and other relevant official authorities.
