Google Play Refused to Refund My Okey Ekstra Payment Despite Medical Emergency

May 24 4:29 AM20

I am a Parkinson’s patient, and I play the Okey Exstra game via Google Play on my Redmi 5G phone. In the game, I had previously bought chip money a few times in small amounts. Last week, at the beginning of the week, the game started to constantly direct me to the purchase screen, and when I pressed the phone’s back button to exit, a purchase for 599 was made suddenly without my clear consent. Before this, a similar situation had happened once more, and I had received a partial refund, so I know that unintentional purchases can be refunded. This time, however, for the 599 charge, I sent feedback 3 times, wrote 4 emails, and spoke once with live support. Every time I was told that the transaction was not suitable for a refund according to the refund policy, and no help was provided. As someone with Parkinson’s, it is very easy for me to make an unintentional touch, and the design that allows a single wrong press on the back button to result in such a high purchase is seriously victimizing me. I clearly request a full refund of the 599 amount and an apology for this situation, and I expect measures to be taken in the game and on Google Play so that such accidental purchases do not happen again, especially for users in a sensitive situation like mine.
