Inflammatory Reaction To Shaving With Gillette Venus, Moisture, Pad Razor

On August 15, 2026, I used a Venus ComfortGlide women’s razor with moisture pad on my lower legs, shaving upward toward my knees. I did not apply any lotion beforehand because the product is advertised as having a built‑in moisturizing pad. Within a short time after shaving, I developed a severe red, itchy, burning rash on my lower legs that has now continued for three days. To manage the symptoms, I have been self‑treating with fragrance‑free moisturizing cream, applying 1% hydrocortisone at bedtime, and taking Xyzal antihistamine. Despite this, the burning and itching have remained very uncomfortable and concerning for me. I live in Scottsdale, Arizona, and I am requesting a refund for this product as well as a thorough safety review and investigation so that the cause of this reaction can be identified and other consumers do not have to experience a similar problem. I expect the company to take this complaint seriously, review the formulation and materials used in the moisture pad, and inform me of the outcome of their investigation.
