Overbooking on Frontier flights can result in bumping:
Frontier requests volunteers to give up seats first. As a thank you, volunteers will receive alternative travel and an electronic Frontier flight voucher. The airline seeks enough volunteers to avoid denying passengers boarding.
Passengers who check in after all seats are assigned may be denied boarding if there aren't enough volunteers. Frontier will notify you of your rights and how they prioritize oversold flights in writing. The last customer to check in may be removed if there are fewer seats than checked-in passengers.
Checking in early reduces the risk of being bumped. Travelers can check in online 24 hours before their flight on FlyFrontier.com.
